Tanzania / Zanzibar
Tanzania is one of the three principal countries of East Africa with Kenya and Uganda. Tanzania is famous for its safaris on Serengeti, where more than a million Wildebeests travel every year, moving north and south of the Serengeti Plains in search of green pastures. The Discovery Channel has made this area world famous by following the Wildebeest and made documentaries on how animals such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, crocodiles and vultures feed on this massive population of Wildebeest. As a visitor you will have first hand experience of seeing all these in front of you.
Ngorogoro Crater is a 28-mile diameter crater in which hundreds of animals, including 150 lions, are trapped. This little crater can be termed as a massive zoo in which animals survive, depending on each other's existence. There is a beautiful lake in the middle of crater where thousands of flamingos live. You are guaranteed to find all the "Famous Five" animals in the crater and they are – elephant, lion, leopard, wild buffalo and rhinoceros.
Lake Manyara and its abundance of animals around the lake is a real sight to see. You will be going through thick jungles before you come out in the open and view the lake and animals living off it.
Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain of Africa , can be seen as soon as you land at Kilimanjaro Airport .
