Introduction to India
What is India, one country? No, India is many countries within one country.
India is the seventh largest country in the world .Its cultural heritage goes back thousand of years. India had universities, well planned cities when the west was searching for civilisation as we know.
India today is one of the most rewarding regions of the world to visit. Its scenery is one of the most varied and exciting anywhere, its history and culture are not just packaged and brought on show for all visitors, but lived. Its openness, friendliness and freedom from personal threat are increasingly rare among major travel destinations.
From the natural protecting mountainous barrier of Himalayas in the North where Mother Ganges is born to the plains and deserts of Rajastan where Maharajas and Mughal Emperors fought battles followed by the enforcement of East India company's rule over whole India including the tropical regions of the south India can boast of rich history of over 5000 years.
What is there to see in India? Where can I start and will I be able to finish? Only words may help, so I start with the most enchanting Taj Mahal, Forts, Rivers, Havelis, villages, steam train journeys, Himalayas, Temples of Khajurao and Madurai, Mosques, Churches, festivals of Diwali, Holi and Navratri, Tigers, Elephants, food, luxurious hotels, ruins, deserts, sandy beaches of Goa and Kerala, unusual road users and driving techniques, sitar and classical music and kathakali dances, meditation, bollywood, and so on and on. In my view, one will require at least 3 years back packing visit to see the whole of India.
Our aim is to initially introduce the first timer to have a tailormade holiday in either north or south India for one week at least, followed by a second week relaxing on the sandy beaches of Goa. For those who are returning to India for subsequent visits we can prepare a suitable tailormade itinerary of a minimum of one week with no maximum limit. We feel that we should plan everything from the point you land in India to the day of your return with respect to hotels, transport, site seeing and meals, leaving time for shopping at your leisure.
Just let us know what your desire is and just come. India awaits your footprints. Come and experience India and stir your soul!
